As an IT Operations Manager with Southern States Material Handling: You will contribute to making Southern States Material Handling a leader in the material handling industry by providing strategic leadership across IT operations. This role focuses on building strong executive and cross-functional relationships, driving IT strategy, and ensuring the organization’s technology platforms are scalable, secure, and aligned with business goals. You will lead the evolution of IT from a reactive support function to a strategic business partner, with a strong emphasis on ERP optimization, cloud transformation, and operational excellence! Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-first environments. Knowledge of Managed Service Provider (MSP) models and vendor governance. Experience supporting multi-site enterprise operations and field service environments Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Experience with IT infrastructure, networking, and enterprise applications Proven ability to manage performance metrics such as uptime, service levels, and project timelines Strong leadership, team development, and organizational skills Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Education and Certification Needed: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience) 8–12+ years of experience in ERP and enterprise IT leadership roles Prior experience as an IT Manager, ERP Manager, Applications Manager, or Solutions Architect preferred Deep experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Business Central Proven experience leading ERP implementations, migrations, and SaaS transitions Experience with Power Platform, automation, and reporting tools Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or field service environments preferred Proven leadership experience managing teams and complex IT initiatives What you’ll Do: Serve as a trusted technology advisor to executive leadership, helping align IT strategy with overall business goals and growth initiatives Lead IT operations across the organization, ensuring systems, infrastructure, and applications are reliable, scalable, and positioned to support long-term success Own and drive the strategy, performance, and ongoing optimization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, ensuring it becomes a true business enabler across branches and service operations Oversee Managed Service Providers (MSPs), acting as the primary escalation point while ensuring strong governance, clear service levels, and accountability aligned with company priorities Lead ERP modernization efforts, including cloud-first initiatives, system enhancements, and adoption of Power Platform tools to drive reporting, automation, and operational efficiency Provide oversight of cloud and infrastructure environments, particularly within Microsoft Azure, ensuring system performance, availability, and data protection standards are met Network & Multi-Site Operations: Oversee connectivity across all branch locations and territories, ensuring reliable LAN/WAN performance and seamless access for both in-branch teams and mobile field technicians Security, Compliance & Risk: Partner with internal leadership and external vendors to maintain a strong security posture, including identity management, access controls, data protection, and participation in audits and risk assessments Enterprise Applications & Endpoints: Ensure stability and performance of Microsoft 365, endpoint devices, and line-of-business applications, supporting both office-based and field employees Coordinate cross-functional projects with
