Position Title: IT Procurement Technician 3 Client: Texas Education Agency Position ID: #70126105 Duration: 9+ Months Contract + Extension Location: Remote Summary: 8 or more years of experience, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, independently performs a variety of complicated tasks, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Description: The IT Contract and Procurement Specialist will perform a variety of duties focused on coordinating, organizing, and analyzing IT procurement requirements across various departments or program areas. Key responsibilities will be to: provide high-level assistance and guidance to staff regarding IT procurement processes, budgets and the utilization of Texas Department of Information Resources contracts; coordinate, organize and analyze IT requirements from internal stakeholders; maintain comprehensive files and records to support internal and external audits. This position will also work with a wide range of stakeholders across the agency to assist and advise on procurements, grants, contracts, and develop and track the associated budgets and make financial projections. The ability to gather operational data necessary to tract project status will be required. This position will review time sheets and invoices against approved work orders and contract rates to prevent over-billing. This position will maintain a central, audit-able repository for all contracts, solicitations, and approved work orders, and submitted time sheets. CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS 8 Required Knowledge of Texas State Governmental regulations, laws and practices 8 Required Knowledge of Texas Procurement & Contract Management regulations, laws and practices 8 Required Knowledge of Texas state budget regulations, laws and practices including Capital Budgets 8 Required Experience with procurement & contract budgeting and forecasting 8 Required Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Word) 8 Required Demonstrated ability for attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate, high-quality work. 8 Required Demonstrated ability to identify errors, inconsistencies, and omissions before final delivery. 8 Required Maintains a high level of accuracy when handling data, documentation, or reporting. 8 Required Follows established procedures while maintaining accuracy under pressure. 1 Preferred Experience with Information Technology Staff Augmentation Contracts (ITSAC) 1 Preferred Certified Texas Contract Developer (CTCD) credentials 1 Preferred Certified Texas Contract Manager (CTCM) credentials 1 Preferred Experience with Department of Information Resources (DIR) Contracts 1 Preferred Experience with DIR Data Center Services (DCS) Contracts
