Title: Infrastructure Engineer, Cloud & Infrastructure Compensation: $50.00 (depending on experience level) Type: Contract Industry: Defense Technology / Enterprise Infrastructure Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the US; ability to work in secure environments may be required Responsibilities Support and enhance enterprise infrastructure services across both cloud and on-premise environments. Assist with deployment and maintenance of core infrastructure technologies including Active Directory, Azure AD, Microsoft 365, virtualization, compute, and storage systems. Administer and support cloud workloads hosted in AWS and Azure environments. Perform infrastructure upgrades, patching, lifecycle management, and vulnerability remediation activities. Monitor system health, troubleshoot operational issues, and help maintain system reliability and availability. Participate in disaster recovery readiness activities, backup validation, and infrastructure resilience initiatives. Contribute to automation efforts using scripting and configuration management tools. Support infrastructure buildouts, expansions, and enterprise technology improvement projects. Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and system configurations. Provide escalation support and participate in scheduled on-call rotations as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline; equivalent experience considered. 4+ years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure in production environments. Strong experience with Windows Server administration, Active Directory, Azure AD, and virtualization platforms such as VMware, Nutanix, or Hyper-V. Experience supporting Linux-based operating systems including RHEL, Ubuntu, or similar distributions. Familiarity with enterprise storage, backup, and disaster recovery technologies. Hands-on experience supporting infrastructure within AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms. Experience with scripting or automation using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar tools. Understanding of monitoring, patching, system optimization, and infrastructure troubleshooting. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities in fast-paced technical environments. Ability to manage multiple priorities while adhering to operational and change management processes. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting office/site infrastructure deployments or datacenter expansions. Exposure to Infrastructure as Code or configuration management tools such as Terraform or Ansible. Familiarity with monitoring and observability platforms. Experience working within high-availability, mission-critical, or highly regulated environments. Relevant certifications related to Microsoft, VMware, AWS, or Azure technologies.
