SUMMARY The Infrastructure Manager is pivotal in the design, configuration, and management of the organization's network and communication systems. This role oversees the implementation and maintenance of network services, devices, and communication infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. The Infrastructure Manager collaborates with IT support teams to resolve network issues, maintain documentation, and adhere to compliance requirements, while also proposing strategic improvements to enhance network efficiency. The position also includes direct supervision of the System Administrator, focusing on both strategic and operational aspects of IT infrastructure. RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Planning and Design : Analyze business requirements to develop efficient network solutions. Propose and evaluate alternative solutions to the IT Director and CIO to meet business needs effectively. Implementation and Configuration : Plan, design, configure, and implement network solutions, ensuring redundancy and resilience to meet service level requirements. Manage network device configurations, including new deployments and replacements. Monitoring and Maintenance : Establish and oversee monitoring tools, alerts, and intervention procedures to maintain high service levels. Respond to network service outages and incidents with swift resolution strategies. Compliance and Documentation : Ensure network services adhere to compliance requirements. Maintain up-to-date network documentation, including diagrams, architecture, and IP assignments. Train IT support staff on network monitoring and issue resolution. Vendor Management : Review and evaluate hardware, software, and service vendors. Propose solutions and products to enhance network services, improve efficiency, and increase reliability. Support and Collaboration : Assist in supporting network servers and internal corporate servers. Provide support to service desk staff as needed and work collaboratively with other IT team members. Team Leadership : Directly supervise the System Administrator, providing guidance, support, and performance management. Ensure effective collaboration and communication between the Infrastructure, System Administration, Cybersecurity and Technical Service teams. Continuous Improvement : Stay informed about industry trends and technological advancements. Actively seek opportunities for professional development and apply new skills to enhance network infrastructure. QUALIFICATIONS Experience : Minimum of 5 years in a Network Technician role within a medium to large enterprise with complex technology environments. Technical Knowledge : Advanced understanding of computer networking, cabling infrastructure, telecommunications, and communication systems for data, voice, and video. Rackspace & Azure : Expertise in managing and executing the migration of services and data from Rackspace to Azure, including planning, execution, and troubleshooting. Meraki Management : Proficient in managing Meraki WiFi solutions, including heatmapping to optimize wireless coverage and performance, and VLAN configuration for network segmentation. Fortinet Devices : Experience with Fortinet switches and firewalls, including configuration, management, and troubleshooting. Dell Unity SAN Storage : Knowledge of Dell Unity SAN storage management, including configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning. SSO Implementation : Expertise in implementing Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions, integrating with various systems and applications to streamline user authentication. Skills : Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on effective and timely solutions. Proficient in documentation and training material creation. Technical Proficiencies : Experience with Meraki, Cisco ASA, Fortinet, VMware, Office365, Kaseya, AWS, Azure, Active Directory, Veeam, Acronis and Windows Server 2012 R2 or later versions. Physical Requirements : Ability to perform both office functions and physical implementations in data centers, including lifting up to 45 lbs.
