Inside Sales Assistant We are seeking a high-energy Inside Sales Assistant to support the growth of a national marine hardware distributor. This position is the "engine room" of the sales department, responsible for ensuring that quotes are accurate, orders are processed instantly, and high-profile boat builders receive elite service. Key Responsibilities: Sales Support: Assist the senior sales team by preparing technical quotes for stainless steel hardware and marine components. Order Management: Enter and manage high-volume sales orders within QuickBooks, ensuring all specifications match customer requirements. Lead Qualification: Handle incoming inquiries from boat manufacturers and retail partners, providing initial pricing and availability. Logistics Coordination: Work directly with the shipping department to prioritize urgent orders and provide tracking via UPS software. Customer Retention: Follow up on delivered orders to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for additional hardware needs. Experience and Qualifications: Multi-Tasking Mastery: You must be able to handle a ringing phone while processing a digital order without losing accuracy. Technical Software: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Outlook, and shipping platforms is required. Marine Knowledge: A baseline understanding of marine parts or boat construction is highly preferred to assist with technical inquiries. Reliability: A "no-nonsense" work ethic with a commitment to a consistent 40-hour work week. Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $20.00
