THIS IS FOR A CUSTOMER OF MEMORYBLUE DIRECT HIRE - THIS IS NOT AN ENTRY-LEVEL ROLE - MEMORYBLUE RECRUITERS AREN'T AFFILIATED Inside Sales - Upsell & Cross-sell About the role This is a growth hire at a well-established industrial organization that has scaled rapidly through acquisition and is now building a net-new inside sales function . You’ll work a defined book of existing customers with the goal of expanding share-of-wallet through education, proactive outreach, and cross-sell, You'll be selling a 40+ SKU catalog of large industrial components to buyers, helping them save on costs and consolidating vendors! This is not inbound order taking and not a CSR role — it’s proactive, phone-heavy inside sales with clear expectations and structure. What you’ll do Proactively engage an assigned book of ~800 customers Educate customers on a broader product portfolio they often source elsewhere Drive ~10% year-over-year account growth through outbound outreach Make ~25 meaningful connected calls per day Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across recurring purchases Maintain clean CRM hygiene and track pipeline activity Sales motion Short-cycle, transactional to mid-sized orders Outbound-heavy, education-driven conversations Selling into facilities, manufacturing, MRO, HVAC, and industrial buyers Existing accounts, but with a true hunter mindset Who they’re looking for 3–10 years of inside sales / telesales experience Background in industrial, MRO, distribution, facilities, filtration, or adjacent B2B environments strongly preferred Comfortable on the phone and managing high account volume Organized, proactive, and able to explain technical products clearly Motivated by steady growth, structure, and long-term opportunity Hard no’s Car sales Freight brokers / pure logistics sellers Very junior or first-year sellers Comp & benefits Base: ~$80,400 OTE: ~$104K+ with accelerators up to 2.5x Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO Tuition reimbursement policy launching in 2026 Performance expectations ~10% YoY growth target Activity-based KPIs (connected calls, pipeline hygiene, close rate) Clear, measurable expectations — no guesswork Location On-site preferred: Aurora / Naperville, IL Growth & career path Inside Sales → Key Account Manager Inside → Outside Sales Vertical-focused sales roles Team Lead → Manager → Director → VP Leadership strongly believes in internal mobility and developing talent based on strengths — not forcing one career path.
