Work Status: Full Time (40 + Hours per week) · Office-based · Occasional travel for training, meetings, or customer visits may be required. Purpose The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for providing sales support, pricing, and customer service for metal building projects as well as components. This role acts as a liaison between customers, regional sales managers, and internal departments (engineering, estimating, and project management) to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of building quotes and orders. Key Responsibilities: Inside Sales: · Receive, review, and process building & component inquiries from reactive phone leads and internet leads, repeat customers, builders, and regional sales managers. · Prepare accurate and competitive price quotations using the quote generator, component quoting software, and MBS. · Interpret architectural and structural drawings to determine project scope and requirements. · Communicate with customers to clarify project details, specifications, and delivery expectations. · Collaborate with estimating and project management, as well as the Director of Sales to ensure project feasibility and schedule alignment. · Maintain accurate records of customer communications, quotes, and orders in CRM and ERP systems. · Following up on outstanding quotes and assisting in converting leads to sales orders. · Provide product knowledge, technical assistance, and support to customers and field sales teams. · Coordinate sales strategies with the Regional Sales Manager to ensure project closure. · Participate in sales meetings, product training, and continuous improvement initiatives. · Ensure all work aligns with company policies, quality standards, and customer satisfaction goals. · Engage in ongoing education relating to quoting, project specifications, components, quote writing, and account management. Preferred Qualifications and Experience Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent Experience: · 2+ years of inside sales experience in construction, steel, or PEMB industry preferred. · Knowledge of PEMB systems, components, and erection practices is highly desirable. Technical Skills: · Ability to read construction drawings and specifications. · Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with quoting or CRM systems (e.g., Zendesk, Salesforce, Metal Building Software, or similar). Soft Skills: · Strong communication and customer service skills. · Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities. · Team-oriented and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
