Job Description
Reports to: Field Operations Manager Classification: Non-Exempt ___________________________________________________________________________ Position Overview: The Installation Labor Clerk supports the daily administrative and operational functions of the field operations department. This role is responsible for processing work orders, installer returns, subcontractor paperwork, draw corrections, and system updates related to flooring installation operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to communicate effectively with installers, field supervisors, accounting, and internal staff. ___________________________________________________________________________ Company Overview: Flooring Services and our affiliated entities have continued to be a trusted and respected industry leader in the home building industry since 1983. Our family of companies bring the Family Advantage, and we conduct our affairs with integrity while demonstrating respect for our clients, employees, the environment, and the communities in which we do business. __________________________________________________________________________ Job Duties: Review, sign, and stamp daily work orders for tile, carpet, vinyl, and wood installation projects. Verify any additional labor requirements with the Field Supervisor prior to processing work orders. Submit approved work orders to the Accounting Department for processing. Process and stamp installer returns each morning. Ensure all required return documentation is received, including detailed return reasons, supervisor name, and return date. Communicate with Field Supervisors regarding incomplete or missing return information. Maintain and update daily return logs and tracking spreadsheets in Excel. Assist installers with weekly draw corrections and labor correction requests as needed. Ensure all draw corrections are submitted accurately to Accounting by designated deadlines. Assist prospective subcontractors with completion of applications and required onboarding paperwork. Copy, organize, and submit subcontractor documentation to Accounting upon completion. Support the Expediting Department by assigning crews and entering job-related notes into the system. Maintain accurate records and ensure timely communication between departments. Perform other duties that may be assigned by the Field Operations Manager or General Manager. ___________________________________________________________________________ MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous construction, flooring, installer, or related customer service experience preferred.
