Instructional Assistant - Special Education - (2025-2026 school year)

Job Overview:This is a 4-hours per day, 186-days per school year position Under the direction of the assigned supervisor, assist certificated staff in the instruction, supervision, training and physical care of assigned individuals or groups of special needs students Responsibly perform a variety of instructional services and clerical support activities within a well-defined framework of policies, procedures and objectives Use sound judgment and initiative in working with and providing physical care for students with moderate to severe medical and physical disabilities or behavior disorders Ride a school bus or orthopedic transportation vehicle to provide safe and secure transportation for students with physical, medical, educational and emotional disabilities Assist drivers in the loading, unloading and securing of disabled students Other related work as required Salary Info:Bachelor's Degree:$21.90 to $27.95 per hour in six steps Associates Degree or 60units:$19.39 to $24.75 per hour in six steps High School Diploma or Equivalent:$17.61 to $22.48 per hour in six steps Job Type:Part-time Pay:$17.61 - $27.95 per hour Physical Setting:School Special education school Schedule:4 hour shift Monday to Friday No weekends Work Location:In person.
