Job DescriptionJob DescriptionBeytin McLaughlin, a well-established defense litigation firm, is seeking a litigation associate with a minimum of three to four years of medical malpractice defense experience for its Altamonte Springs location. Must have significant experience in preparing pleadings, discovery/responses, motions and other litigation documents; performing research; preparing timely reports to insurance carriers and clients regarding case status and ongoing activities; attending depositions, mediations and hearings; and being responsible for timely tracking billable time in accordance with client guidelines. Must be well-versed in the Florida Medical Malpractice Act and process. Must be a member in good standing with the Florida Bar; have excellent academic credentials; be motivated and assertive with a strong work ethic; have critical thinking and excellent writing skills; be personable and have the ability to be a team player; and be technologically confident and comfortable with using process management systems and effectively utilize available technology and automation.
