The Integration and Test Architect will be a part of the R&D organization and an important contributor to the realization of the next generation robotic platform that will change the future of healthcare. You will be a highly visible technical resource working on architecting complex electro-mechanical system integration and test process from requirement establishment, test approach and tool selection, and traceability matrices in close collaboration with Systems engineering, Mechanical engineering, Controls and Software Teams, Reliability, Supply Chain & Manufacturing, and other functions to ensure a harmonized and test plan with sufficient coverage for all level of testing is established. This role is suited for an experienced, R&D lead engineer with a strong track record of test design and definition and implementation for complex electro-mechanical systems, design transfer, and product launch. You will have a great opportunity to lead system integration and test process, define optimal requirement layers, specify verification approach, support development of test tools, and support development of test protocols that pave the path to successful system development and launch. Key Responsibilities Leads the design of system integration and test approach from components, PCBAs, subassemblies, assemblies, and subsystem to system level. Derives strategies to detect issues and faults at the appropriate levels of assemblies Works closely with different cross functional teams to generate/refine the appropriate requirements at optimal integration levels Derives strategies for system diagnostics and to monitor system performances matrices Authors/co-authors relevant documents such as integration and test architecture and plans, test protocols, test methods, test reports, analyses, and system documentation Supports a variety of multi-disciplinary technical and process improvement projects of different sizes and scopes Supports establishment of traceability matrices for all levels of requirements Communicates information clearly, effectively, and frequently (oral and written) with stakeholders, project team Manages and deliver assigned projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams within agreed delivery timelines Might mentor less experienced engineers Qualifications Minimum of 12 years’ electromechanical R&D engineering experience, preferably in the medical device industry required. Some years of experience in other heavily regulated industries will be considered. Master’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Robotics, or a closely related field is required. Exceptional undergraduate candidates will be considered. Outstanding documentation and communication skills required Experience in managing complex engineering projects required Must have previous experience launching complex electromechanical systems Must have MATLAB/Simulink proficiency. LabVIEW proficiency is desired Demonstratable CAD proficiency a plus, Solidworks preferred Must have strong technical and analytical abilities including DOE, FMEA, and statistical analysis Must be proficient in design control procedures Working knowledge of applicable medical device regulatory standards i.e.: FDA 21CFR 820, ISO 13485, IEC 60601, ISO 14971, etc is desired Able to execute multiple assigned projects and duties with minimal supervision Must be a self-starter with strong leadership skills and deep technical competencies Who we are : We are a team of more than 72,000 highly dedicated Healthineers in more than 70 countries.
