Job Description
Job SummaryAssemble or fabricate mechanical parts, pieces, or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications.Assembly and fabrication take place in a specific area of a production line for a manufacturing organization.Follows and relies on instructions from pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.Works under immediate supervision.Job functions may require some exercising independent judgment.Duties Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bill of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products. Utilize handheld tools such as a handheld screw and drill gun. Maintain inventory of product in workstations. Perform quality work checks to ensure the products meet quality standards. Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified. Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes. Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Follow departmental ESD practices. Meet the daily production schedule and maintain quality standards. Must have a good understanding of the Integration Configuration Guidelines and have the ability to communicate that knowledge into orders. Provide basic system troubleshooting when needed. Daily review of all pending job project assignments on the bench for timely inspections. Other duties may be assigned, as necessary.Skills One to three years of mechanical assembly experience may be required. Basic reading skills Must be able to follow directions. Basic computer navigation and utilization skills Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly. Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem and to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or idea. High attention to detail and self-motivation skills Familiar with established motherboards, SBC (single board computer) processors, Input/Output cards, peripherals devices, configuring BIOS, jumpers, switches, cables, and all related drivers. Install Microsoft Operating System onto established hardware platforms. Ability to use system utilities to perform various tasks for completing a job; as imaging hard drives, building RAIDS, and running test diagnostics.Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.Job Type:Full-time Expected hours:40 - 50 per week People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Work Location:In person.
