The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all program areas are in alignment with the organization's strategic plan, directly supervising program managers and directors, managing program budgets, and overseeing grant compliance and reporting. This role also involves serving as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, with a focus on hiring, coaching, and developing program staff and external consultants. The ideal candidate is a consistent, even-keeled leader with a strong ability to set expectations, hold teams accountable, and foster a collaborative and trusting work environment. Applicants for the Interim Chief Program Officer position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred), a minimum of 5 years' program leadership experience in a nonprofit or public agency setting, and a minimum of 5 years' experience working with diverse communities and managing cross-functional teams. In-depth knowledge of budget management and grant allocations is required, as is experience with the government grant process. While not mandatory, an LCSW or LMFT is highly preferred. The role demands a candidate who is open to new perspectives, adept at identifying opportunities for improvement, and capable of providing steady, consistent leadership across the organization's various program areas.
