Internal Medicine Faculty Position The Department of Medicine and Primary Care at the Illinois College of Osteopathic Medicine (IllinoisCOM) is seeking a dynamic and experienced physician educator and leader to serve as founding faculty in Internal Medicine. This full-time position is open to candidates at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Full Professor. Academic rank to be determined by The Chicago School & IllinoisCOM academic rank policy. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated educator, accomplished clinician, and innovative leader with expertise in Internal Medicine. The successful candidate will oversee the development and delivery of the Internal Medicine curriculum, support faculty recruitment and development, and foster a collaborative, student-focused environment that aligns with the mission and values of the IllinoisCOM and The Chicago School. The Section Chief will lead curriculum development and innovation, clinical partnerships, research initiatives, and community engagement to ensure the IllinoisCOM's program trains physicians to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care that integrates both physical and mental health. Leadership & Administration Provide visionary leadership for Internal Medicine within the IllinoisCOM. Lead curriculum development and assessment for the Internal Medicine clinical rotations. Assist curriculum development and assessment in preclinical courses as needed. Recruit, mentor, and develop faculty members within the department. Maintain partnerships with hospitals, clinics, and community organizations to support clinical training and research opportunities. Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and institutional policies. Teaching, Curriculum Development, & Student Success Oversee the development and delivery of an innovative, interdisciplinary Internal Medicine curriculum.
