Responsibilities Design and deliver individualized lesson plans aligned with students’ IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals, ensuring they meet developmental and educational standards. Manage classroom behavior effectively through proactive behavior management strategies, creating a safe and engaging learning environment. Collaborate with speech therapists, behavioral health specialists, and other professionals to support students’ communication, social skills, and behavioral needs. Utilize learning technology and adaptive tools to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement. Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. Implement early intervention techniques to support children in preschool or toddler care settings, promoting foundational skills in literacy, math, and physical development. Maintain detailed documentation of student progress, behavior incidents, and IEP updates while ensuring compliance with educational regulations. Experience Prior classroom experience working with children in early childhood education or preschool settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated expertise in classroom management, behavior management, and lesson planning for students with disabilities or developmental delays. Experience working with individuals with autism, hearing impairments such as deaf education needs, or other developmental disabilities is advantageous. Knowledge of speech therapy techniques, behavioral health strategies including behavioral therapy, and familiarity with assistive learning technology are desirable. Proven ability to develop curriculum tailored for diverse learners while fostering inclusive learning environments. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, caregivers, and specialists. Experience in private schools or daycare settings can be beneficial for understanding various educational frameworks.
