Job Description Summary: Assists in daily and ongoing operation, including oversight of processes related to: smooth flow of patients, and most efficient use of high-tech Imaging resources; implements a continuous quality control/improvement program to enhance utilization of these resources; establishes ongoing orientation, training and continuing program for technologists and assists in management of inventory control. Independently performs appropriate examinations as requested by the ordering physician with the protocol indicated by the patients’ symptoms, medical history, and/or results from previous testing. Cath Lab Specific The Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist must be competent as the assistant to the Interventional Cardiologist for diagnostic and interventional procedures in roles that include scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating. The technologist must have knowledge of the X-ray equipment in use, hemodynamic monitoring, coronary and peripheral anatomy, and sterile technique. Position requires on-call coverage.
