Registered Nurse – Interventional Radiology / Will Train someone in Nuclear Medicine *This is a 3+ month contract role with possible extension Schedule: Shift now is 3 days a week / 8-430pm Location: Far Rockaway, NY Duration: 3 months / possibly longer Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse – / Will Train Nuclear Medicine. to join our team on the day shift. In this role, the RN provides safe, high-quality, patient-centered care across the continuum of radiology services, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. The RN collaborates closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver evidence-based care while adhering to professional nursing standards and the New York State Nurse Practice Act. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive and ongoing patient assessments using appropriate tools and techniques Analyze assessment data to determine nursing diagnoses and identify expected patient outcomes Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care, anticipating potential or adverse outcomes Administer nursing interventions in accordance with established standards and clinical protocols Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care Provide patient and family education to support understanding and adaptation to health conditions or treatments Evaluate patient progress and revise care plans as needed to achieve desired outcomes Participate in unit-based quality improvement and performance initiatives Support evidence-based practice through clinical inquiry and application of current research Maintain compliance with professional standards, regulatory requirements, and accrediting agencies (e.g., NYS DOH, The Joint Commission) Appropriately delegate tasks in accordance with scope of practice and patient needs Promote a respectful, collaborative, and healing care environment Engage in self-assessment, continuing education, and professional development activities Demonstrate cultural competence and age-specific care considerations in all patient interactions Minimum Qualifications Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in Interventional Radiology and/or Nuclear Medicine BLS certification through the American Heart Association ACLS and PALS certifications required Strong verbal and written English communication skills Physical stamina, manual dexterity, and visual acuity sufficient to perform clinical duties Preferred Qualifications Membership in relevant professional nursing organizations Experience working in a fast-paced radiology or procedural environment Additional Requirements Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and all levels of the organization Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and professional excellence We have urgent requirement as Registered Nurse Radiology (IR/Nuclear medicine).
