Please e-mail a letter of interest to Ms. Sue Green , Principal, Pecan Park Elementary, at sgreen@ossdms.org POSITION: INTERVENTIONIST COMMENCING DATE: July 1, 2026 Qualifications Class A Mississippi Teacher's License:174 Elementary Education or 221-Mild/Moderate Disability Knowledge and skills in classroom instructional methods and management Commitment to student-centered learning Knowledge of Mississippi Curriculum Frameworks Knowledge of research based interventions and the RTI (Response to Intervention) process Commitment to integration of technology into daily instruction Interpersonal skills in working with students, professional colleagues, administration, parents, and community Strong written and oral communication skills: grammar, spelling, punctuation Good physical condition with ability to lift 10 pounds LENGTH OF CONTRACT: 187 days Job Description Analyze student data to determine interventions to address student weaknesses (academic and behavioral). Plans and implements interventions designed to meet individual needs of students. Monitor and maintain accurate records on student achievement, articulating the progress and success. Instruct in accordance with all policies and procedures as stated in Ocean Springs School Board Policies. SALARY: Commensurate with the Ocean Springs salary schedule for certified positions for the 2026-2027 school year.
