ONBOARDING Standard 5-panel drug screen required POSITION OVERVIEW – The Inventory / Materials Specialist I is responsible for managing inventory records, conducting inventory counts, and maintaining accurate system inventory levels to support operational needs and ensure inventory accuracy. This role involves physical accumulation and preparation of raw materials for shipment/sale, performing data entry, reconciling inventory discrepancies, and coordinating with other departments to resolve inventory issues. RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain accurate inventory records, locations, and transactions, using inventory management software or spreadsheets. Perform regular cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliation activities to verify inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies or inventory shrinkage. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including shortages, overages, and variances, by conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. Coordinate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to update inventory records, reconcile inventory discrepancies, and adjust inventory levels as needed. Process inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, transfers, shipments and adjustments, accurately and timely to ensure inventory records are up to date and reflect actual inventory levels. Other duties as assigned in support of the Materials team. Communicate effectively and work well with others. Safely perform required material movements via Forktruck (Barstock, Forgings, other materials). REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS High school diploma or equivalent. Previous forktruck experience required. Previous experience in inventory control, materials handling, or warehouse operations. Familiarity with inventory management software, spreadsheets, or databases. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
