ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY We are seeking a detail-oriented and compliance-driven Inventory & Purchasing Manager to provide services overseeing procurement and inventory control functions across our cannabis operations. This role is critical to ensuring product availability, regulatory compliance, and cost efficiency throughout our supply chain. SCOPE OF SERVICES Inventory Management Maintain accurate real-time inventory records in compliance with state cannabis tracking systems Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventory audits; investigate and resolve discrepancies Monitor inventory levels to minimize waste, shrinkage, and out-of-stock situations Ensure all inventory movements are properly documented and reported per state regulations Manage lot tracking, expiration dates, and product rotation (FIFO) Purchasing & Procurement Source, evaluate, and negotiate with licensed vendors, cultivators, and suppliers per state licensing requirements Issue and manage purchase orders for raw materials, packaging, supplies, and finished goods Build and maintain vendor relationships while ensuring competitive pricing and reliable lead times Review and process incoming manifests and verify shipments against purchase orders Track vendor performance, lead times, and contract compliance Compliance & Regulatory Ensure all purchasing and inventory activities comply with state and local cannabis regulations Maintain complete and accurate records for regulatory audits and inspections Coordinate with the compliance team to ensure all vendors and products meet licensing and testing requirements Stay current on regulatory changes that impact procurement and inventory procedures Reporting & Analysis Deliver inventory and purchasing reports to leadership, including variance reports, cost-of-goods analysis, and forecasting Identify trends, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities within the supply chain Collaborate with sales, production, and finance teams on demand planning and budgeting QUALIFICATIONS Required 3+ years of experience in inventory management, purchasing, or supply chain — preferably in cannabis, CPG, food & beverage, or a regulated industry Proficiency with seed-to-sale tracking platforms (Metrc strongly preferred) Strong understanding of cannabis compliance regulations at the state level Experience with inventory management or ERP software Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills Preferred Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field Experience with cannabis wholesale, distribution, or manufacturing operations Familiarity with cannabis testing requirements and COA (Certificate of Analysis) review Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting REQUIREMENTS Must be 21 years of age or older Must be able to obtain and maintain a state cannabis agent/employee badge Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour Work Location: In person
