About Us At Rich Landscaping, we're more than just a landscape company -- we're a team that takes pride in creating beautiful outdoor spaces and lasting relationships.Known for our high-quality service and long-standing client partnerships, we're also proud to be a workplace where people grow and stay.We are committed to being an employer of choice for those who value respect, reliability, and teamwork.We offer a supportive environment and opportunities for professional growth.About You We're looking for an Irrigation Inspector who views a complex system like a high-stakes puzzle.If you are naturally curious, thrive on troubleshooting the un-fixable, and aren't afraid to get your hands dirty to get the job done right, you'll fit right in.You lead by example, and your teammates know they can trust you for help and solid advice.You're an inspiring irrigation professional.About the Role As an Irrigation Inspector, you will be the lead expert responsible for the installation, maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting of large-scale residential and commercial irrigation systems.This role goes beyond standard repairs; you will oversee complex system upgrades, manage water conservation strategies, and provide technical guidance to the field team.You are a problem-solver who ensures maximum system efficiency and client satisfaction.This position combines strong technical irrigation skills with jobsite leadership, quality control, and organization.Irrigation Inspectors work closely with the Irrigation Manager to ensure irrigation work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company standards.You'll join an Irrigation Team that's tech-savvy, supportive of each other, continually learning, hardworking, and smart.Spanish is a big plus.Responsibilities Advanced Diagnostics:Diagnose and repair complex hydraulic and electrical issues, including two-wire systems, master valves, and flow sensors.System Optimization:Perform comprehensive audits to improve water distribution uniformity and implement water-saving technologies (smart controllers, weather sensors).Project Leadership:Lead installation and renovation projects to final walkthrough.Blueprint & Mapping:Read, interpret, and update as-built site maps and wiring schematics.Team Mentorship:Train junior technicians on best practices, safety protocols, and technical skill development.Client Consultation:Communicate technical issues to clients in an understandable way and provide recommendations for system longevity.Skills Controls & Wiring:Proficiency in two-wire technology, multistrand wiring, and DC solenoids Pump Stations & Lighting:Experience with pump station maintenance, water features, and low-voltage outdoor lighting Electrical Troubleshooting:Low-voltage wire troubleshooting Hydraulics:Deep understanding of pipe sizing, pressure regulation, and friction loss calculations Smart Systems:Experience with central control systems (Weathermatic SmartLink, Hunter Hydrawise, Rain Bird IQ, WeatherTRAK, Baseline, etc.) Operations:Ability to operate heavy machinery (trenchers, vibratory plows, and skid steers) Field Work:Comfortable performing hands-on work; knows their way around with a shovel Compliance:Strong knowledge of local backflow prevention regulations and plumbing codes Problem Solving:Ability to troubleshoot systems independently and exercise sound judgment Organization & Prioritization:Ability to organize work, prioritize tasks, and operate with minimal supervision Communication:Strong communication and interpersonal skills Teamwork:Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Qualifications Experience:5years of professional experience in irrigation service and installation Certifications:CIT (Certified Irrigation Technician) or CUA (Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor); backflow certification preferred, but not required Licensing:Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Preferred:Backflow certification Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions Ability to walk job sites and perform physical tasks throughout the workday Benefits Benefits include:Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits Why Join Us?
