Job Description
The company is seeking a detail-oriented iSeries / Power Systems Administrator to support and manage the infrastructure powering key business applications. This role involves maintaining IBM iSeries and Power Systems environments, monitoring performance, and ensuring operational reliability across a dynamic and fast-paced organization. What You'll Do Install, configure, and maintain iSeries / Power Systems hardware and software. Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system performance and reliability issues. Manage incoming service requests and incidents through the Help Desk Ticketing System. Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure secure, efficient implementations and upgrades. Monitor system performance and permissions, delivering standard reports and documentation. Plan and execute software and hardware upgrades, patches (PTFs), and repairs. Validate system backups and disaster recovery readiness. Maintain a solid test environment that mirrors production to support troubleshooting and future upgrades. Qualifications Must be at least 21 years old and authorized to work in the U.S. Associate degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related technical program, or equivalent industry experience. Minimum 1 year of experience in iSeries / Power Systems administration. Familiarity with tools such as IBM Client Access, Navigator, BRMS, iSecurity, HelpSystems, absMessage, or related applications. Technical certification in IBM System Administration (7.1+) preferred. Service-oriented with strong troubleshooting, organization, and communication skills.
