Description IT Customer Support - Entry Salary:$61,152 - $82,272 annually Classification:Classified Staff Olympic College is seeking to hire a full-time classified Customer Support Entry-level.This position will perform entry-level information technology helpdesk support.Coordinate, maintain, and provide support for desktops and other information technology equipment.Incumbents at this level have a working knowledge of computer systems and can complete routine tasks without help.Essential Functions Reviews End User License Agreements and Master Service Agreements (EULAs and MSAs), as well as contract terms; advises stakeholders on compliance risks and timelines.Analyzes contracts and provides recommendations regarding legal terms, vendor responsibilities, and data security and compliance.Establish communication channels with vendors to address warranty issues, service contracts, and troubleshooting requirements.Deliver or provide support in training student technicians on protocols and procedures suitable for IT-related scenarios.Support and install new POS (Point of Sale) devices.Effectively identify which tasks are appropriate for student employees and escalate to other IT personnel, which include the Help Desk Supervisor, IT Shop employees, Director, CIO, etc.Effectively support and understand college technologies such as Deepfreeze console, SCCM, Pharos, and software such as MS O365, MS Hyper-V, and ticketing systems such as TopDesk.Keep abreast of emerging technologies and software applications to provide better support to end-users.Install, set up, configure, and troubleshoot computer-related software and hardware issues in classroom, lab, and office environments.Ensure effective communication with the team regarding appointments or critical tasks that require immediate attention.Administers the institution's student laptop checkout program, including tracking usage, managing returns, and communicating with users.Assignment of employee mobile devices in alignment with device policies and service standards.Maintains accurate records and implements processes to track and manage physical assets efficiently.Qualifications Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent.2 years of documented experience in information technology-related activities, such as installing workstations, providing technical support for software, or installing and maintaining PC hardware, servers, and networks.Preferred Qualifications Two-year computer-related degree or higher in computer science, computer information systems, technical communication, engineering, and other related fields from an accredited college or university.Three years of documented technical experience.Two years supporting an organization with over 100 PCs.Thorough knowledge of Microsoft software and operating systems.Thorough knowledge of PC hardware, maintenance, and repair.Intermediate knowledge of networks, servers, and other technology equipment.MCP and/or Acertification.Additional Information Terms of Employment Please note that we are unable to sponsor visas for this position.Only candidates who are currently authorized to work in the United States will be considered.This is a full-time classified position scheduled to work 40 hours a week, with a salary range of $61,152 - $82,272 annually.All classified positions will start their salary at Step A.When you have completed six months of probation, you will receive a 5 percent pay increase.A collective bargaining agreement exists, and this position is covered by the Washington Public Employees Association (WPEA) Union.Classified positions qualify for the following Benefits:Medical/vision, dental, long-term disability, life insurance, and accidental dismemberment, Flexible Spending Arrangement, Dependent Care Assistance Program, Wellness Programs, Department of Retirement Systems Plan 2 or Plan 3, Deferred Compensation Program (DRS) retirement savings plan; TIAA supplemental retirement savings plan, Aflac, 11 paid holidays, leave - vacation/sick/personal holiday/personal leave, auto/home insurance, space available tuition waiver, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), fitness center, reduced rate and priority consideration on-site child care on a space available.For more information regarding benefits, please visit our website here.Conditions of Employment Prior to a new hire, a background check including criminal record history will be conducted.Information from the background check will not necessarilyprecludeemployment but will be considered indeterminingthe applicant's suitability and competence to perform in the position.In addition to the background check, candidates will be required to complete the Sexual Misconduct Disclosure Form asrequiredWB HB 2327.The employee must reside in Washington State and within a reasonable distance of the campus to respond to workplace reporting requirements at the time ofhiring.Frequent travel to Olympic College campuses or other sites may occur.How To Apply T
