Job Description
Role Summary An experienced IT Project Coordinator is needed to support the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale data center build projects. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, and ensuring project milestones are met efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, technical knowledge of data center infrastructure, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment to facilitate successful project outcomes. Responsibilities Assist the Project Manager in planning, executing, and closing data center construction projects. Coordinate initiatives across IT, network, facilities, and construction teams to ensure alignment on project milestones. Track project timelines, deliverables, risks, dependencies, and issues using tools such as Jira, MS Project, or Smartsheet. Schedule and facilitate project meetings, including status updates, vendor calls, and stakeholder reviews. Maintain accurate project documentation including project plans, RAID logs, and status reports. Support procurement activities for hardware, networking equipment, and other infrastructure components. Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to monitor equipment delivery, installation schedules, and resolve issues. Monitor project budgets, assist with cost tracking, and generate reporting for project financials. Ensure adherence to project governance, change management, and compliance requirements. Identify potential risks or delays and escalate them proactively to project leadership for resolution. Qualifications 2–5 years of experience in project coordination, support, or related roles. Experience working within data center environments or infrastructure projects. Knowledge of data center components such as servers, racks, power systems, cooling, and network equipment. Familiarity with project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Excellent communication skills, with experience in stakeholder coordination. Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Smartsheet, or Excel. Ability to work independently in a remote setting and coordinate across various teams. Additional preferred qualifications include experience with data center migrations, infrastructure deployments, or ITIL processes; PMP or CAPM certification is a plus. Publishing Pay Range: $30.00 – $35.00 Hourly This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
