About The Role The IT Systems Analyst role is a vital part of CoxHealth’s Epic Cupid team, primarily focused on supporting cardiovascular workflows within cardiology and cath lab environments. This position involves managing procedure documentation, integrating hemodynamic monitoring systems, streamlining cardiovascular imaging workflows, and facilitating structured reporting processes. The analyst will be responsible for system build, testing, optimization, and troubleshooting to ensure seamless clinical operations. By maintaining the stability and reliability of clinical IT systems, the analyst plays a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of invasive and non-invasive cardiology services. This role requires a proactive approach to system monitoring, issue resolution, and end-user support, working closely with clinical staff and IT teams to optimize workflows and resolve technical challenges effectively. Qualifications For IT Systems Analyst I, preferred candidates will have an associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience. A minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare clinical workflows or IT support is required, with familiarity in nursing, provider, or ancillary department technologies. Basic understanding of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, and related IT systems is essential. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills are necessary, along with a willingness to learn and adapt to the healthcare environment. For IT Systems Analyst II, candidates should possess an associate degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, with at least 4 years of experience in healthcare clinical workflows or IT support. Demonstrated expertise in inter-related solutions, IT systems, and clinical applications is required. The candidate must have excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and a strong understanding of operational workflows. Experience leading small to medium-sized initiatives related to clinical systems improvements is preferred. Certification or licensure is not mandatory for this role. Responsibilities The IT Systems Analyst will be responsible for designing, testing, and implementing IT applications supporting cardiovascular workflows. Key responsibilities include supporting system build and configuration, conducting testing and validation, and troubleshooting technical issues to ensure optimal system performance. The analyst will monitor system stability, identify potential issues proactively, and coordinate with clinical staff and IT teams to resolve complex problems. They will assist in integrating hemodynamic monitoring devices and cardiovascular imaging workflows, ensuring seamless data flow and reporting accuracy. Additionally, the analyst will provide technical support and training to end-users, document system configurations and procedures, and participate in continuous process improvement initiatives. Leading small projects related to clinical system enhancements and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize workflow efficiency are also integral to this role.
