Job Summary: The Janitor at ABDM is responsible for performing cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the cleanliness and safety of a large warehouse facility. Working under the guidance of the Janitorial Lead, the Janitor supports daily operations by cleaning assigned areas, following established schedules, and adhering to company standards. Key Responsibilities: Daily Cleaning Tasks: Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, office spaces, and high-traffic areas. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all assigned areas to maintain a clean environment. Empty trash and recycling bins, ensuring proper waste disposal. Safety & Hygiene Standards: Follow safety protocols for handling cleaning chemicals and using equipment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Report any safety hazards, maintenance issues, or equipment malfunctions to the Janitorial Lead promptly. Facility Support: Utilize floor scrubbers, ride-on cleaners, and other janitorial equipment safely with proper training. Refill and maintain stock levels of paper products, soap, and cleaning supplies in designated areas. Keep janitorial storage areas clean and organized. Collaboration: Communicate effectively with the Janitorial Lead to address specific cleaning requests or priorities. Work as part of a team to meet cleaning goals and maintain overall facility standards. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous janitorial or cleaning experience is required. Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently with minimal supervision. Knowledge of basic cleaning techniques and equipment usage. Willingness to adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a professional attitude. Working Conditions: This position requires on-site work at a large warehouse facility. Physical demands include frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting of cleaning supplies or equipment. Availability for early morning, evening, or weekend shifts as needed.
