Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors. Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to ensure surfaces are well-maintained. Handle commercial cleaning duties in both residential and industrial settings as needed. Assist with custodial tasks including waste disposal and recycling efforts. Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs promptly. Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly maintained and stored. Follow safety protocols while performing cleaning tasks to ensure a safe working environment. Qualifications Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred. Knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing and maintenance practices. Familiarity with residential painting is a plus but not required. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various settings. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Good physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting or moving equipment. A proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and addressing potential issues before they escalate.
