Job Description
SSM Health Fond du Lac is seeking a board-certified, fellowship trained Neurosurgeon to join a well-established and growing neurosurgery practice . This is an outstanding opportunity for a surgeon looking to build a balanced, sustainable practice with strong surgical volume, predictable call, and the support of an integrated, Mission-driven health system. Why This Opportunity Stands Out: Balanced practice mix: 80% outpatient / 20% inpatient Surgical volume: 10-20 procedures per month with room to grow Predictable call: 1:3 rotation (Fond du Lac only) Efficient scheduling: New patient visits: 30 minutes Established follow‑ups: 15 minutes Healthy access: New patients and surgical cases typically book out ~1 month Full‑time role: 1.0 FTE / 32 contact hours (8 half‑days) Access to a strong neurosurgery support network across Wisconsin Join an Established & Respected Practice: Partner with an experienced neurosurgeon with 30+ years of practice Collaborate closely with an integrated neurology team in a multidisciplinary setting Benefit from strong referral patterns and increasing regional demand Opportunity to grow your practice while maintaining quality and balance Surgical Scope: The incoming neurosurgeon will perform a broad range of spine and cranial procedures , including: Spine Surgery: Anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) Cervical total disc arthroplasty Posterior lumbar interbody fusion (PLIF) Laminectomy with posterior lumbar fusion Posterior thoracic fusion Lumbar laminectomy/decompression Lumbar laminotomy/discectomy Cranial Surgery: Craniotomy and craniectomy procedures Ventriculoperitoneal shunt placement Exceptional Practice Environment: State‑of‑the‑art clinic space located on the main level of the hospital for easy patient access Multiple exam rooms to support efficient patient flow Dedicated provider office and professional workspace Shared clinic area with the neurology team to encourage collaboration Recognized as the go‑to neurosurgery clinic in the Fond du Lac community Fully Integrated Hospital Setting: Operating rooms are located within the same building Immediate access to imaging and laboratory services One centralized location, no travel between facilities Opportunity to build long‑term patient relationships in a welcoming community Qualifications: Board‑certified in Neurosurgery Fellowship‑trained Active or eligible Wisconsin medical license Strong clinical skills and a collaborative approach to care SSM Health is committed to equal employment opportunity based on race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, pregnancy, age, physical or mental disability, veteran status, and all other statuses protected by law.
