Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of carpentry tasks on commercial and residential projects, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. As a Journeyman Carpenter, you will bring your expertise in framing, trim work, and finishing to contribute to successful project completion. Duties Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute carpentry tasks Construct, install, repair, and maintain structures such as walls, floors, ceilings, doors, windows, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools Perform framing work including metal stud framing and wood framing for various building projects Install siding, stucco, roofing materials, and exterior finishes with precision and attention to detail Execute interior trim carpentry including door hanging, cabinet installation, molding, and fixture mounting Conduct concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, and plastering as needed for project requirements Assist with restoration projects involving water damage remediation, mold remediation, or structural repairs Measure accurately and cut materials to specifications; fabricate custom components when necessary Support heavy lifting tasks safely using appropriate techniques and equipment Follow safety protocols diligently on construction sites to ensure a secure working environment Skills Extensive experience with construction estimating and project planning processes Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding technical schematics Skilled in the use of hand tools (saws, hammers, chisels) and power tools (drills, saws, grinders) Strong background in various carpentry disciplines including trim carpentry, framing (metal stud and wood), roofing, siding, and flooring installation Knowledge of concrete forming techniques and masonry fundamentals Ability to perform drywall installation, plastering, caulking, stucco application, and water damage restoration Experience with fabrication processes involving CNC machinery or custom woodwork manufacturing Familiarity with plumbing and electrical systems as they relate to fixture installation or remodeling projects Capable of reading schematics for electrical or mechanical systems relevant to carpentry work Heavy lifting skills combined with proper safety practices for physically demanding tasks Previous experience in the restoration industry or remodeling projects is highly desirable Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on quality craftsmanship and attention to detail Join our team as a Journeyman Carpenter if you’re passionate about building high-quality structures with precision craftsmanship.
