Job Description
Typical Duties: Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment to support production and facility operations Diagnose electrical issues and replace defective components such as wiring, motors, breakers, relays, or control devices using appropriate tools and instruments Use test equipment (multimeters, megohmmeters, etc.) to inspect, test, and verify system performance and safety Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings to perform installations and repairs Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, coordinating with vendors or service providers as needed to obtain parts or technical support Install and assemble electrical systems, panels, conduit, and equipment in accordance with specifications and code requirements Ensure all electrical work complies with applicable codes and standards, including National Electrical Code Maintain and repair electrical control systems, including motor controls, VFDs, and PLC-related equipment Assist with modifications, upgrades, or retrofits to existing electrical systems to improve performance or reliability Document work performed, including repairs, parts used, and system updates, within maintenance or CMMS systems Troubleshoot and correct electrical issues to minimize downtime and support continuous operations Maintain inventory of electrical parts and materials and assist with procurement as needed Support preventative maintenance programs and follow established maintenance procedures Communicate with operators and team members regarding equipment operation, safety practices, and basic troubleshooting Participate in ongoing training to stay current with electrical systems, safety practices, and industry developments Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
