About Us Sterling Stone & Tile Inc.is a leading provider of polished concrete, decorative concrete, terrazzo installation, and tile & stone installation services throughout Minnesota and surrounding states.The company delivers high-quality craftsmanship for residential and commercial projects, including concrete grinding, polishing, coatings, and restoration services.We are seeking a Journeyman Concrete Polisher with strong experience in concrete surface preparation and polishing to join our growing team.Position Summary The Journeyman Concrete Polisher is responsible for performing all aspects of concrete grinding, polishing, and surface preparation on commercial and residential projects.This role requires hands-on experience with polishing equipment, tooling, densifiers, and sealers to achieve high-quality polished concrete finishes.Key Responsibilities Operate planetary grinders, edge grinders, burnishers, and polishing equipment Perform concrete grinding, polishing, honing, and densifying Apply dyes, stains, sealers, and protective coatings Prepare surfaces through shot blasting, scraping, and coating removal Repair and patch concrete surfaces prior to polishing Work with decorative aggregates and multi-step polishing systems Maintain and care for tools, equipment, and company vehicles Read project specifications and finish requirements Maintain a safe and clean job site Work collaboratively with project managers and installers to meet schedules Travel to regional job sites as required Qualifications 3years of experience in concrete polishing or surface preparation Experience operating polishing equipment (HTC, Terrco, SASE, etc.) Knowledge of polishing levels, densifiers, and finishing techniques Ability to perform physical work including lifting 50lbs Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship Ability to work independently and as part of a crew Valid driver's license and reliable transportation OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred Preferred Experience Decorative concrete systems Terrazzo polishing Epoxy / polyaspartic coating preparation Concrete overlay systems Commercial flooring projects Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly wage based on experience Overtime opportunities Career advancement opportunities Training on advanced polishing systems Company tools and equipment provided Work Environment Commercial construction sites Indoor and outdoor environments Regional travel may be required See more about us here:https://www.sterlingstoneandtile.com/ Pay:$30.00 - $38.00 per hour Benefits:Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Profit sharing Union benefits Vision insurance Work Location:In person.
