Jr. Accountant Metropolitan Companies is looking for a Jr. Accountant to join our team! The Jr. Accountant is responsible for the general accounting projects they are assigned. This role will work directly with the accounts payable, finance, treasury, and accounting teams to ensure accuracy on all projects. Key Responsibilities Assist accounting with month end close and ensure P&Ls are completed and accurate. Create and review financial reporting and provide answers on variances in project performance. Analyze project financials and understand the numbers, line by line. Assist with creating presentations and updates to management according to deadlines. Utilize a workflow system management with the accounting process. Process and record internal bank transfers. Assist with ad hoc projects and analytics. Bank reconciliations. Aide in the annual budgeting process and maintain P&L budgets monthly. Continually improve processes and help in implementation of new systems and reporting tools. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Competencies: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Strong organizational skills Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 0-3 years previous experience High proficiency in WORD, EXCEL and Outlook. Experience in Yardi, Marks, or Nexus Payables a plus.
