STATEMENT OF DUTIES Summary Of Job Classification Performs skilled administrative, customer service, and technical support work related to court operations: Docket management, courtroom duties, case processing, managing the full life cycle of multiple case types within the Clerk of Court’s office. Works independently under general supervision and may guide newer staff. Additional Comments This posting will be used to hire a 0.25 FTE position, requiring approximately 10 hours per week including weekends and some state holidays. The Judicial Clerk assigned to this position will provide clerical support for the Bond Hearing Office 3 (BHO3), which oversees weekend advisement and bond hearings pursuant to CRS 16-4-102.The successful applicant will provide complex case processing, including docketing new cases, clerking hearings, issuing orders, and other duties necessary to operate this weekend court. Hybrid Work Environment - Some job responsibilities will require work in-office work, however remote work is available as determined by the needs of the Bond Hearing Office and the organization. When the Judicial Clerk assigned to the BHO3 is working remotely, they must ensure adequate and stable internet connection and telephone service from their work location. This position is part of a progressive job series, and placement will be determined based on minimum qualifications and the relevant experience of the successful applicant. Provides case management, customer service, and judicial officer support for clients, officers, and other judicial staff over the counter, in the courtroom, and via phone and email including filing, scanning, and uploading documents. Instructs customers on case types and procedures. Shares applicable information for law enforcement, attorneys, correctional officials, and other outside agencies. Responds to customer's inquiries over the counter, via phone, email, and voice mail. Acts as liaison between division/Judicial Officer and customers, directs parties to correct location and/or divisions, de-escalates situations of stress or conflict, and explains court processes without providing legal advice. Creates, processes, and manages electronic and paper-filed case documentation, including entering and tracking codes related to case status, processing exhibits, plea agreements, sentencing, restitution, court ordered fees, notices, court orders, post bonds, bond forfeitures, warrants, and protection orders.
