Job Description: Parsons is seeking a motivated Associate Engineer - Drainage Engineering to join our team in Centreville, VA; Baltimore, MD; or Washington, DC. In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of drainage systems for transportation and infrastructure projects. Working alongside experienced engineers and project managers, you will help deliver high-quality solutions that meet client needs and regulatory requirements while advancing your technical expertise. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the design and analysis of drainage systems, including stormwater management, culverts, and erosion control measures. Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using industry-standard software (e.g., HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, StormCAD, Civil 3D). Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, and construction drawings. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate drainage designs into larger transportation and infrastructure projects. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental and stormwater management standards. Support project managers in coordinating with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies. Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and support construction activities as needed.
