Junior Loctician

Amour Naturals Hair Studio is seeking a passionate and teachable Junior Loctician to join our luxury loc salon team. This position is ideal for someone who is eager to grow within the loc industry, improve their skills, and learn healthy hair practices in a professional salon environment. We specialize in intentional loc care, healthy foundations, luxury client experiences, and long-term loc health. We are looking for someone who is dependable, coachable, professional, and serious about building a career in the beauty industry. Compensation This is a commission-based position with a: 30/70 Split Stylist receives 30% Salon receives 70% As growth, clientele, consistency, and skill level increase, commission structure may be reevaluated over time. Responsibilities Shampoo and prep clients Perform retwists under supervision/training Assist with starter locs and basic styling Maintain clean parts and healthy maintenance practices Maintain salon cleanliness and sanitation standards Deliver excellent customer service Assist with maintaining a luxury salon atmosphere Learn and follow the Amour Naturals service standards Help with product knowledge and recommendations Assist with social media/content when needed Requirements Must be professional and punctual Must be teachable and willing to accept correction Passion for locs and healthy hair care Reliable transportation required Must maintain a clean and professional appearance Saturday availability required Cosmetology student or license preferred Prior natural hair or braiding experience is a plus What You’ll Learn Luxury client experience Healthy loc maintenance Proper shampoo and scalp care techniques Parting systems and foundations Retwist techniques Starter loc methods Client consultations Salon professionalism and business growth Growth Opportunities This position is designed for long-term growth within the company.
