Job Title: Junior Software Tester Location: United States Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Software Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will assist in testing web and mobile applications to ensure software quality, functionality, and performance. Key Responsibilities Execute manual testing for web, mobile, and software applications. Identify, document, and track software bugs and issues. Work closely with developers and product teams to reproduce and resolve defects. Create and maintain test cases, test plans, and testing documentation. Perform regression, functional, usability, and system testing. Verify software functionality against business and technical requirements. Assist in automation testing initiatives when applicable. Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings and QA activities. Ensure product quality before software releases. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. 0–2 years of experience in software testing, QA, or related technical roles. Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing lifecycle (STLC). Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, or Azure DevOps. Basic knowledge of SQL and API testing is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Attention to detail and willingness to learn new technologies. Preferred Qualifications Exposure to automation testing tools such as Selenium or Cypress is a plus. Knowledge of Agile development methodologies. Internship or academic project experience in software testing preferred.
