Sofia, a refined fine-dining Italian restaurant in the heart of Englewood, NJ, is seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook / Jr Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-standard kitchen environment. You will work closely with our Executive Chef and culinary team to execute thoughtfully crafted Italian dishes with precision and consistency. Responsibilities Prepare and execute menu items according to Sofia’s recipes and presentation standards Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and plating Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies Ensure cleanliness and organization of your station at all times Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines Assist with prep work, inventory management, and receiving deliveries Qualifications Minimum 3+ years experience as a line cook, preferably in fine dining or upscale Italian cuisine Strong knife skills and a solid grasp of classic sauces and fundamental cooking techniques. Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen with high-volume service preferred.
