Position Type: Student Support Services Date Posted: 4/3/2026 Location: District K-12 SPED Summer School Teacher Under the supervision of the Summer School Director, SPED teachers will provide differentiation guidance, tutoring, and direct instruction to support the needs of all summer school program SPED students. Pay: 30/hour Hours: Estimated 51 hours ($1,530) Number of Days: 14 June 1 - June 23, 2026 (Monday - Thursday ) 8:15 am - 11:45 am (3.5 hours/day) Staff Training - May 29th @ Jr/Sr High 10:00 am - 12:00 pm (2 hours) Essential Functions Provides a SPED snapshot for each SPED student to each teacher with SPED students on their roster. Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning. Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and translates lesson plans into learning experiences to best utilize the available time for instruction. Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning, and modifies instructional methods to fit individual students' needs, including students with special needs; conducts individual and small group instruction as needed. Organizes and maintains a system for accurate and complete record-keeping, grading, and reporting for all student activities, achievement, and attendance as required by district procedures and applicable laws. Encourages parental involvement in students' education and ensures effective communication with students and parents. Ensures that student conduct conforms with the school's standards and the school district's policies, and establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.
