Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Kennel Supervisor, where you’ll lead our dedicated pet care staff in providing exceptional care and attention to animals in our facility. This energetic role involves overseeing daily kennel operations, ensuring the safety and well-being of pets, and maintaining a clean, organized environment. As a Kennel Supervisor, you’ll play a vital role in creating a positive experience for both animals and their owners, fostering a compassionate and efficient workplace that prioritizes animal welfare and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Supervise daily kennel activities, including feeding, cleaning, and monitoring animals’ health and behavior Oversee dog handling and training to ensure proper socialization and obedience Assist with pet grooming, pet sitting, and basic veterinary care tasks as needed Ensure proper animal restraint techniques are followed to guarantee safety for pets and staff Maintain detailed records of animal care, behavior observations, and veterinary treatments Provide excellent customer service by addressing pet owner inquiries and updates on their pets’ status Coordinate heavy lifting of supplies, equipment, or animals safely to prevent injury or stress Experience Prior kennel or animal care experience is required; veterinary technician or assistant background is highly preferred Demonstrated skills in dog training, handling, and animal restraint techniques Experience with pet grooming, pet sitting, or veterinary procedures is advantageous Strong knowledge of animal behavior and care standards to ensure safety and comfort Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate pet owners and collaborate with team members Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during busy shifts Join us in making a difference in the lives of animals while working in a lively environment that values dedication, compassion, and teamwork!
