Overview Join our dedicated team as a Kennel Technician and become a vital part of providing exceptional animal care in a dynamic dog daycare. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and comfortable kennels for our daycare and boarding pets. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will ensure animals are well-cared for, properly handled, and monitored throughout their stay. Responsibilities Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, and surrounding areas to uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety Assist with animal restraint during examinations, treatments, and medication administration to ensure safety for both animals and staff Monitor animals’ behavior, health status, and comfort levels regularly, documenting any changes or concerns Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinary staff following proper aseptic techniques Maintain detailed records of animal care activities, medication schedules, and treatment progress Assist with front desk duties such as scheduling appointments or answering client inquiries when needed Experience Previous kennel experience or animal handling background preferred; familiarity with pet care routines is highly valued Hands-on experience with animal restraint techniques, medication administration, and aseptic procedures is desirable Equine experience or familiarity with animal handling can be a plus but is not required Strong understanding of pet care standards combined with excellent animal handling skills ensures optimal animal welfare This paid position offers an energetic environment where your passion for animals can flourish.
