Position: Key Holder About Safta’s Table Safta’s Table, opening in early 2026, is a casual, all-day café located in Lakeview, New Orleans. Offering counter service, family-style meals to-go, and many of the comforting dishes guests have come to love from Safta and Saba, Safta’s Table is designed to feel like your grandmother’s kitchen: warm, familiar, and welcoming. Celebrating approachable, soulful food and a relaxed experience, Safta’s Table will be a place where guests can stop in for a quick bite, pick up dinner to enjoy at home, or settle in for a casual meal with loved ones in a cozy, inviting space. Job Overview The Key Holder supports daily operations by opening and closing the restaurant, supporting the team during service, and serving as a point of contact in the absence of management. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership potential who is dependable, organized, and comfortable with added responsibility. Key Responsibilities Open and/or close the restaurant in accordance with company procedures. Perform team member checkouts and ensure accurate reporting. Support and guide the team during service, helping uphold standards of hospitality and efficiency. Act as a liaison between the team and management when a manager is not present. Monitor side work and cleanliness to ensure readiness for service. Handle minor guest concerns or service issues and escalate when necessary. Assist with inventory, deliveries, and restocking as needed. Maintain a positive and professional work environment. Perform additional duties as assigned in support of the overall success of Ceci. Qualifications: Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting required. Reliable and punctual. Comfortable leading by example and holding peers accountable. Detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and solution-focused. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and team members. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. A friendly and professional demeanor that embodies the spirit of hospitality. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements: Standing and walking for extended periods, often for the entire shift. Lifting and carrying trays, plates, and other items weighing up to 25 pounds. Bending, reaching, and stooping to perform tasks around the dining area. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of activity.
