Job Type Full-time Description Job Title: Lead Early Childhood Teacher (PreK4 & Kindergarten) Department: School Job Category: Faculty - Fulltime FLSA Status: Exempt Salaried Salary: $53,000 to $55,000 (annually - contract) Hours: 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Occasional evenings and weekends - Program driven) Reports to: School Principal (Chief Academic Officer) Job Summary: The teacher is responsible for developing lesson plans and delivering group and individual student instruction within established curriculum guidelines; collaborating with other teachers, other professional staff, and administrators in addressing instructional and/or classroom issues; and responding to a wide range of inquiries from students' parents or guardians regarding instructional program and student progress. Additionally, the position requires the teacher to maintain a class environment advantageous to learning and personal growth; to establish effective rapport with students while maintaining proper classroom management. Education/Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in child development, or early childhood education Minimum of 2 years classroom teaching experience as a lead teacher, or CDA - child development associate degree Associate degree in early childhood/child development Duties/Responsibilities: Administers and develops subject-specific assessments to assess student competency levels and/or individual learning plans. Advises parents and/or legal guardians of student progress to communicate expectations; student achievements; develop methods for improvement and/or reinforcing classroom goals in the home environment. Assesses student progress towards learning targets, objectives, expectations, and/or goals to provide feedback
