Job Description
Responsibilities Assist in preparing ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and meats Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes Prepare and cook food items according to standardized recipes and portion sizes Ensure food is cooked properly and at the right temperature Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of food items Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation Assist with menu planning and recipe development as needed Requirements: Previous experience working in a restaurant or food preparation setting is preferred but will train Knowledge of basic food safety practices and procedures Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required Skills: Food safety Meal preparation Restaurant experience Food preparation techniques Catering experience Menu planning skills Knowledge of the food industry standards and regulations Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils used in food preparation Experience working as a dietary aide or in a dietary department is a plus This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about the culinary arts to join our team.
