CURRENT OPENING(S):7:00 am - 1:30 pm Part- time every other weekend 4:30 pm - 7:30 pm (tray-carriers) 2-3 days/wk every other weekend rotating holidays SCHEDULE Weekday & Weekend Shifts 6:30 am - 1:30 pm 7:00 am - 1:30 pm 9:30 am - 2 pm 9:30 am - 6 pm 10:30 am - 1:30 pm (wknds only) 10:30 am - 7 pm 3:30 pm - 7 pm 4:30 pm - 7:30 pm (tray-carriers) varies depending on availability RESPONSIBLE TO Kitchen-Dining Room Supervisor/ Director of Assisted Living PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION A Kitchen-Dining Assistant supports kitchen and dining room operations by assisting with food preparation, cleaning, and customer service.This role handles tasks like prepping ingredients, washing dishes, setting tables, and serving meals to our tenants.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Kitchen Responsibilities:Washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients as directed.Washing and storing dishes, utensils, and cookware.Maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment.Ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.Maintaining an organized dining room and kitchen environment.Dining Room Responsibilities:Setting tables with cutlery, glassware, and linens.Welcoming and seating tenants.Taking food and beverage orders from tenants Assisting servers in serving food and beverages.Clearing and cleaning tables after guests leave.Restocking condiments, utensils, and other supplies.OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS Maintain and clean the dining room and kitchen areas:sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming of floors, taking out garbage and replace liners, washing and stocking, cleaning of equipment, and work areas.Adhering to established food handling and cleaning procedures.Ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for both staff and customers.Understanding of food preparation techniques and hygiene standards.Experience with cleaning equipment and procedures.Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful manner.Ability to work collaboratively with other kitchen and dining staff.Ability to stand for extended periods and lift and carry items.Demonstrate MSLCC's customer service standards of excellence.Respect and uphold resident rights in all regards, including confidentiality of resident information, and refrain from any action that would be considered abusive physically, emotionally, or verbally, or neglectful of their needs Know, understand, implement, and adhere to all company policies and procedures.All other duties as assigned BASIC SKILLS Communicate information clearly, concisely, and accurately.Read, write, understand, and apply written instructions in English.Complete basic computer-related tasks.Make ethical and professional decisions.Organize and manage tasks.Provide quality customer service.Work as part of a team.Commitment to company values.PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the functions.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.The employee is frequently required to stand and walk with heavy trays/tubs (up to 50 pounds).The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Specific sensory abilities required by this job include sight, taste, smell, and hearing.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to raw meat, moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, hazardous materials, and the risk of electrical shock.The noise level in the work environment is moderate.Will be around hot/cold food and equipment, and will be required to wear personal protective equipment, including goggles, masks, rubber gloves, and other safeguards.WORK CONDITIONS A well-lighted and well-ventilated 64-apartment retirement community on two levels with carpeted and vinyl floors.This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.The employee will also perform other reasonable related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor and other management as required.Missouri Slope reserves the right to revise or change job duties as needed.This job description does not constitute a written or implied contract of employment.#INDAL High School diploma / GED accepted Successfully pass a criminal background check, including motor vehicle record (MVR), drug screening, and reference check.Successfully complete required training and within the specified time frame; time requirements will vary based on assigned training Successfully pass a drug test, background check, including criminal history, certification registries, and employment history Completion of training as required by Missouri Slope.Employees at Missouri Slope are required to receive the annual influenza vaccination as a condition of employment.Successful candidates must
