Kitchen Helper / Line Cook Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Kitchen Helper, where your enthusiasm, reliability, and strong work ethic will support the smooth operation of our kitchen environment. In this hands-on role, you will assist with meal preparation, cook menu items, maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen, and help ensure all food safety standards are upheld. Your energetic approach and team-oriented mindset will contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere for both staff and guests while helping us deliver quality meals efficiently and safely. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to gain real-world experience in a fast-paced food service environment while supporting a vibrant culinary team. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to kitchen standards and recipes Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, portioning, and assembling ingredients Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workstations, floors, utensils, dishes, and equipment in accordance with health and safety standards Wash dishes and support overall kitchen cleaning duties throughout shifts and at closing Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and hygiene protocols Support meal assembly and plating to ensure timely service during busy periods Help with inventory organization and notify supervisors of stock shortages or supply needs Assist with catering setups, food serving, and special events as needed Follow all kitchen safety guidelines, including proper knife handling and safe use of kitchen equipment Work collaboratively with cooks, servers, and management to maintain smooth kitchen operations Skills & Qualifications Prior restaurant, dietary aide, kitchen, or food service experience preferred Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Experience with cooking, meal preparation, and kitchen cleaning responsibilities Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Basic knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment Dependable, hardworking, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment Positive attitude and strong teamwork and communication skills Join us and become part of a passionate team dedicated to delivering delicious, safe, and well-prepared meals.
