Duties Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients according to recipes and menu requirements Support cooking activities by organizing ingredients and ensuring equipment is ready for use Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, utensils, and appliances in compliance with food safety standards Handle food safely by following proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures Help with meal assembly, plating, and serving to ensure timely delivery of dishes Support catering events by preparing ingredients and assisting with setup and cleanup Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, knife skills, and kitchen operations to prevent accidents or contamination Experience Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is highly desirable Experience working in a food service or restaurant environment is beneficial Familiarity with menu planning, food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices preferred Basic knife skills and knowledge of meal preparation are advantageous Exposure to the food industry or culinary settings will help you excel in this role Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety This energetic role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their culinary expertise while supporting a vibrant kitchen team.
