Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team and oversee daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for food preparation, exceptional management skills, and a commitment to food safety and quality. As a Kitchen Manager, you will ensure smooth kitchen workflows, maintain high standards of service, and foster a positive team atmosphere that drives excellence in food production and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Supervise all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality. Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices. Oversee the training and development of kitchen staff, including onboarding, coaching, and conducting performance evaluations. Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers. Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation. Coordinate shift management by scheduling staff efficiently to meet customer demand during peak hours. Lead efforts in food production for various service styles including casual dining, quick service, catering, or banquet events. Support restaurant management with budgeting responsibilities and cost control initiatives to optimize profitability. Foster a team-oriented environment that emphasizes excellent customer service, hospitality, and teamwork. Participate in interviewing potential new team members to build a skilled and motivated culinary team. Qualifications Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a quick service or fast food restaurant setting. Strong supervisory skills with previous experience supervising kitchen staff or managing restaurant teams. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS along with cash handling expertise. Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices; certification is preferred. Experience with inventory control, food production planning, and food handling procedures. Background in hospitality management or hotel/restaurant experience is highly desirable. Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on training & development, team building, and effective communication.
