Overview Poki Restaurant in Clairemont looking for BOH (Kitchen) staff! POKI HANA is a quick-service restaurant specializing in made-to-order poke bowls and iced teas. We are seeking staff who are extremely detail-oriented, excel at multi-tasking, possess a warm disposition, and have the grace to remain calm under pressure. Our mission is to deliver quality food, friendly service, and great value in a comfortable space. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and components for daily menu items, ensuring freshness and quality standards are met Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper food handling and storage Follow all food safety protocols and sanitation procedures to uphold health standards Requirements Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable Hands-on experience with food preparation, cooking, or kitchen operations in a restaurant or food industry setting knife skills Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling practices Experience with catering or large-scale food service is a plus WEEKEND availability required. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. San Diego Food Handler’s Card (can be obtained after hire) Pay: From $17.75 per hour Benefits Employee discount Paid training Work Location: In person
