Duties Prepare and assemble sandwiches, salads, and other food items according to established recipes and menu standards Assist with meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and handled safely Follow food safety protocols and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area at all times Support menu planning by organizing ingredients and supplies needed for daily food prep Handle food with care, demonstrating proper knife skills and food handling techniques Serve meals efficiently to ensure timely delivery to residents or customers Assist with catering events or special meal services as needed, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality Skills Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety practices Experience in food service environments such as restaurants or catering operations Skilled in meal preparation, including sandwich assembly and basic cooking tasks Familiarity with menu planning and food industry standards for quality and safety Excellent knife skills, attention to detail, and ability to work efficiently under pressure Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures This role is perfect for individuals passionate about culinary arts, eager to build on their kitchen experience, and dedicated to providing exceptional food service.
