Lab Assistant

Job Overview We are seeking a Laboratory Assistant to support daily operations by preparing materials used in experiments, washing dishware, maintaining a clean and organized environment, monitoring temperatures of refrigerators and freezers and assisting in the weighing of samples for testing.The idea candidate will be willing to learn new tasks, have ability to perform varied duties throughout the day and enjoy a hands-on experience in a laboratory setting.Duties Wash labware Assist with maintenance of lab cleanliness and organization Prepare culture media, reagents and buffers according to directions Weigh product samples Conduct daily temperature checks on freezers and refrigerators Remove trash Set up basic laboratory experiments Qualifications Ability to pass a federal background check Ability to stand for extended periods Comfortable working in a laboratory environment wearing a lab coat and gloves Ability to work independently Attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to adapt to changing workloads No prior experience in a lab is necessary Benefits:Paid time off Work Location:In person.
